Canadian Theatrical News: Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] I. presage flower

Azoland Pictures, Aniplex of America, and Cineplex are bringing Type-Moon’s Fate franchise to theatres in Canada this upcoming January. The theatrical project, Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel], adapts the original visual novel’s third play route. The first of a planned trilogy, presage flower opened in Japan on October 17, 2017. It launched nationally in the US last weekend, on November 17th. The second entry, Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly, is scheduled to debut in Japan sometime in 2018.

The Heaven’s Feel theatrical trilogy is being produced by Ufotable, who previously helmed Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works in the franchise. The director and writer behind those series, Tomonori Sudou and Akira Hiyama, have returned for the films. Yuki Kajiura, who worked on both previous Ufotable productions in various capacities, is producing the score.

Emiya Shirou is a young magus who attends Homurahara Academy in Fuyuki City. One day after cleaning the Archery Doujou in his school, he catches a glimpse of a fight between superhuman beings, and he gets involved in the Holy Grail War, a ritual where magi called Masters fight each other with their Servants to win the Holy Grail. Shirou joins the battle to stop an evildoer from winning the Grail and to save innocent people, but everything goes wrong when a mysterious “Shadow” begins to indiscriminately kill people in Fuyuki…
