Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! on Teletoon/Télétoon this month

Following a wide theatrical release early last month, the twentieth Pokémon theatrical feature will hit the Canadian small screens. Both the English and French Teletoon feeds will run it as part of their Christmas break schedule. According to TV Passport, the movie will air on Télétoon in Quebec on December 26th at 9:30AM and 4PM. English Canada will get the movie on December 27th at 7AM, 12PM and 6PM. Sandwiched between the screenings are repeat episodes of Pokémon The Series: Sun & Moon which run until 9PM.

Teletoon is celebrating March break with a swarm of Pokémon, from the premiere of the latest season to the newest movie, with a sprinkling of older flicks for you to catch up on.

Kicking the week off, Teletoon has scheduled the original Pokémon film for March 13th at 4PM. The twelfth feature, Arceus and the Jewel of Life, airs at the same time on Tuesday. Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages premieres on Teletoon this weekend

pokemonmovie18Teletoon’s online schedule has listed a mini-Pokémon marathon on Saturday that will feature premieres of the most recent movie and two new specials. Kicking things off at 10AM EST is the English debut of Hoopa, The Mischief of Pokémon, a 15 minute short given as an early ticket promotion in Japan for the latest film. Teletoon is naturally following that up with the North American premiere of said movie, Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, at 10:15 AM. Things wrap up with another English premiere, this time with the TV special Lights! Camera! Pika! at 12PM.

Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction airs on Teletoon this Sunday

The film will air at 1PM EST during the channel’s Sunday movie slot. Ending A 16 Year Run On YTV, Pokémon Heads To Teletoon

It looks like Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal‘s Teletoon premiere was foreshadowing something yet to come. Ending a run that started in 1998, YTV has pulled Pokémon and the rest of its anime programming from its lineup. This includes shows like Beyraiderz, Digimon Fusion, B-Daman Crossfire and the aforementioned Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal. That would usually be bad news but along with Power Rangers: Super Megaforce, most of those shows are moving to Teletoon. Continue reading

Pokémon: Mewtwo – Prologue to Awakening and Pokémon The Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened premiere this Saturday on YTV

Pokemon Movie 16 PosterYTV’s online schedule has confirmed that the network will air Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened, as well as its prequel TV special, Pokémon: Mewtwo – Prologue to Awakening, on February 8th starting at 3:30PM EST. The duo premiered last summer on Japanese TVs, and cinemas before a brief theatrical run in October followed by a Cartoon Network broadcast last month in the US. Leading up to the special broadcast YTV will be airing the final two episodes of the Pokémon Black & White: Adventures in Unova and Beyond TV anime beginning at 2:30PM EST.
