Beyblade Burst Evolution on Teletoon this weekend [Updated 11/4/2017]

By “next month,” it seems Sunrights really meant the next weekend. Multiple on-air Teletoon promos have surfaced claiming the channel will premiere Beyblade Burst Evolution on Saturday, November 4th at 2:30PM EST. The channel’s online schedule is currently listing a rerun of the tenth episode from the first season in that slot, so we’ll have to see how that shakes out.

In the next installment of the BEYBLADE BURST series, the 51 22-minute episodes comprising BEYBLADE BURST EVOLUTON welcomes fans back to the world of BEYBLADE, the continuing saga of a group of passionate Bladers who follow their dreams on an unforgettable journey to the top. With the world as their stage, Valt and friends face daily challenges in their fight to make it to the World League.

The second season of Beyblade’s third generation premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo on April 3rd of this year as Beyblade Burst God. The first season began airing on Teletoon on September 10, 2016. Reruns started running on Disney XD Canada on October 2, 2016.

Beyblade Burst Evolution will also air on Disney XD in both Canada and the United States, but no premiere date has been revealed, leaving Teletoon with global English language debuts. Like the first season, the English version was created by Vancouver’s Ocean Productions, with voice actors from both their local area and Calgary.

To support the new animation, toy partner Hasbro has released a new wave of tops at retail. A special Switchstrike line will be available in Canada and the United States beginning in January. Additionally, Hasbro has also updated the Beyblade Burst app for mobile devices to support the refreshed toy range, as well as add a global multiplayer mode with leaderboards, personalized profiles, and an achievement system.

UPDATE (11/4/2017): Beyblade Burst Evolution did air on Teletoon this afternoon. No surprises with the production, though voice acting fans might be interested to know that Scott McNeil is playing a recurring character. Jack Cox, who took over for Karl Willems midway through season 1, was listed as the director.

While Teletoon’s online schedule continues to list a rerun, Zap2it correctly wrote the episode’s title, “Fresh Start! Valtryek’s Evolution!” They are also indicating the channel will air premieres on both Saturdays and Sundays, with episode 2, “Fighting Spirit! Berserk Roktavor!”, set for tomorrow at 2:30PM. You might also notice that Power Rangers: Ninja Steel, Transformers: Robots in Disguise and Turning Mecard are also listed as Sunday premieres. Zap2it claims that’ll cary forward to next week – well, except for Power Rangers: Ninja Steel. Tomorow’s episode is the season finale, which will beat the U.S. broadcast by two weeks. The show has a Christmas special that’ll presumably be aired closer to the holidays.

Thanks Greg.
