Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Premieres Tomorrow on Teletoon

While everyone is giddy about the Yu-Gi-Oh! anniversary film starring Seto Kaiba, it’s important to remember that a new TV spinoff is almost here. As in it airs tomorrow at 7AM and again on Saturday at 1PM on Teletoon. Yeah, not much of a head’s up on that one.

So, what is Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V?

In season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Yuya Sakaki’s dream is to follow in his father’s footsteps and become the greatest “duel-tainer” in history. Thinking he just might pull it off, he suddenly discovers Pendulum Summoning, a never-before-seen technique that lets him summon many monsters at once. But when countless rivals emerge to steal his spotlight, Yuya needs to gear -up his game as dueling evolves into a non-stop world of action. In the all-new Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, monsters literally come to life with advancements in holographic technology. Duelists no longer stand by and let their monsters battle for them on the playing field – they now ride their monsters as they race through real locations to take down their opponents with their Action Cards!

The series, which premiered in Japan in April 2014, will be the first Yu-Gi-Oh! dubbed entirely by 4K Media. The Konami-owned company picked up the franchise after 4Kids exited from bankruptcy in 2012. I wouldn’t expect a localization drastically different than previous shows though, since 4K reportedly employs much of the same staff that handled prior dubs.

Teletoon has set up an extremely barebones page for the show.

As Arc-V currently lacks a US TV partner, Canada will play host to the English dub’s premiere.

Thanks Chibigoku, AmourShipping, Absolute Zero Now and Joshua Shindler.

This seems to be something wrong with this article. ARC-V isn’t scheduled to air 7AM EDT tomorrow, an episode of Goosebumps is shown to be in that timeslot on my television guide. Perhaps it is only airing Saturday?

    • Zap2it and Teletoon’s website list an untitled Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal episode in that slot. That’s probably Arc-V. Your local provider is just being screwy.

What ended up being the issue is that the official Yu-Gi-Oh! website only listed the time it was airing on Teletoon’s East feed. I only get their West feed, and “Zexal” is listed for 8am, which I’ll assume is actually ARC-V. Funny thing, I checked Teletoon’s website yesterday to see it’s Zexal page, which is now completely removed. Luckily, I bought a DVD Recorder yesterday so I plan to record the episodes as they air. It’s amazing that Canada finally gets an anime premiere for a change. 4K Media must be having serious problems getting a channel to air it across the border.

Ah, sorry for any confusion! I live in Ontario, so it’s safe to assume the time listed is always EST unless otherwise stated.
