Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction airs on Teletoon this Sunday

pokemonmovie17posterFeatured in the network’s November 2014 programming highlights, Teletoon has announced a November 9th broadcast of the latest Pokémon feature, Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. The film will air at 1PM EST during the channel’s Sunday movie slot. The Canadian premiere of Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction is just a day after the film’s premiere in the US and months after its summer debut in Japan.

Pokemon.com describes the plot of the 17th theatrical Pokémon feature as:

Get ready for another amazing movie experience in Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. In the underground Diamond Domain, where many Carbink live, the Mythical Pokémon Diancie serves as ruler. The Heart Diamond that sustains the land is beginning to fall apart, and Diancie is not yet strong enough to create a new one. While seeking help from the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas, Diancie encounters a group of thieves who want to take control of its diamond-producing power—and who awaken the Legendary Pokémon Yveltal from its cocoon in the process! Can Ash and his friends help Diancie discover its true power, stop Yveltal’s rampage, and save the Diamond Domain?

This will be the first Pokémon movie to premiere on Teletoon. The network became the Canadian home to the franchise after YTV shed itself of all anime programming in September.

I have a confession to make: I nearly wrote Coconut of Destruction.

Thanks for the tip, Anime-Ash!
