YTV pulls Monsuno: Combat Chaos and Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal

As of right now June 2 is final day Monsuno: Combat Chaos and Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal aired on YTV. Neither Zap2it, nor YTV’s own schedule list any additional broadcast times for the two series. Their 1PM and 1:30PM Saturday slots have both been replaced by episodes of the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot. Monsuno: Combat Chaos ended at episode 31, with Zexal hitting episode 47. YTV began broadcasting Monsuno in May of 2012, with Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal following the next month. This leaves Beyblade: Metal Fury, and Pokémon: Black & White: Adventures in Unova as the only anime related programming on the network. It’s unclear if this is just a temporary removal with a return planned in the fall, or something more.

Thanks Filipp!

Didn’t watch the channel for years now, but somehow even this doesn’t surprise me. If I didn’t know better, I would think YTV would attempt to bring more anime content at this point, but that does not seem to be the case.

If this really is a permanent removal, kids will only be stuck with pkm here in Canada (I expect them to pull beyblade eventually). My joke from few years ago about how YTV will bring anime back in 2020 might be quite accurate
