InuYasha: The Final Act Won’t Be Headed To YTV February 19, 2011

Here I come, destroying dreams.

It all started on January 3 of this year when Youtube user Mohammad2thaccount, posted this video:

All stating that via a conversation he had with a YTV employee on Facebook he found out that they planned on airing InuYasha: The Final Act on February 19, twelve days from this writing. That doesn’t sound questionable at all. Anyways, from there this rumor began to spread all over the internet, as anime fans hoped for another shot.

InuYasha The Final Act and that's a fact

Viz Media licensed this, and put it on for streaming. But of course it uses Hulu, so Canadian's are SOLed. D'OH

It doesn’t look like they’ll get that shot any time soon.

The Youtuber is standing by his story that the show will air on the 19th, but Zap2it and logic says it’s a no. Zap2it does not have any mention of an InuYasha broadcast on YTV at all on the 19th, and surronding days. Neither does Corus Entertainment’s (YTV parent company) February, or March 2011 highlights. Granted, as long time followers of the blog will know, those highlights often ignore important shows (like Power Rangers Samurai), but it is unlikely that both the highlights would neglect to mention it, and that wouldn’t have a single shred of media related to the show. I can say that YTV won’t be airing this 26 episode sequel series on the 19th.

However, the forever hopeful will recognize that YTV’s Facebook, and Twitter staff have yet to actually deny the rumors of the show airing on the channel. Coupled with the ever looming rumors of an [adult swim] broadcast in the US for the Vancouver based Ocean Studios dub leads to hope. Maybe, or maybe Japan’s YTV will air InuYasha again? Who knows.

I’m hoping that YTV just doesn’t have it yet and is working on getting it.

I’m sure they are, but Richard Ian Cox (Inuyasha) has stated on a twitter post that they’re just starting to edit the recordings so they fit with the people’s mouths moving. The dubbing process takes a long time, and they only just finished airing the Japanese in March last year. Be patient, please.
And I hope this Michael Daingerfield lives up to David Kaye’s standards for Sesshoumaru.
Same goes for Kagome’s new voice actor.

I don’t mean to rain on you……..But It’s midway in march now, and I still see no progress/advertising of any Inuyasha TFA or any anime at all. I’m starting to get suspicious about your whole Facebook encounter with YTV staff and that you fabricated the whole story or you were deceived and that person is not a YTV staff member, just a poser.–Note: I am apologizing in advance seeing how I’m posting this message in mid march, therefore if by some chance you actually are correct I apologize.(that’s if your correct)

  1. WHAT HAPPEN TO YTV!!!! I’m 17 now and i honestly don’t watch YTV anymore because of all the LAME SHOWS on now. WHAT HAPPEN TO THE ANIME!?!?!?! Ytv is turning into family/tree house. Come on i honestly would start watching YTV again if they put anime back on.And that would be the only reason i would start watching again because of the anime and i don’t think just me but i think i speak on behalf of a whole lot of people when i say bring anime back because i swear YTV was AWESOME Because of the amines such as ghost in a shell, naruto ,bleach, ful metal alchemist, death note , etc… i mean this is what MADE ytv GREAT! I dunno what ytv was thinking cutting out anime… but let me say BAD move… if you had anime you would have a more people watching ytv. SO ytv Should really not only consider but actually AIR Amines once again, just like the good old days. (when ytv was awesome!!! =))

I whole heartedly agree. YTV lost their older viewing audience due to their loss of anime, even things like Sailor Moon, and early Pokemon seasons, though most won’t admit it, these were good animes, and they would watch them if they were on. InuYasha, Naruto, etc. are also animes some would watch. But YTV lost lots of older viewers because of their decision to cut out anime. You are correct that it is becoming a Family/Treehouse channel, catering to very young audiences, making older audiences run away in terror. YTV should revisit the idea of airing animes, new and old, it may seem like a dying interest, but it’s not, most will still watch anime if it is being aired, and younger audiences once bored with the younger shows will migrate into watching the older viewers shows on the same channel. So, YTV could hold onto their younger viewers, and attract older viewers by airing anime again. This is, of course, just my opinion.

Well i’m Quite a bit older then 17, But I totally agree with Ahilan. YTV has become very boring, and knowing that you need Raitings to stay in the Game :) then Perhaps returning with Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha. And many more of the Great Anime that made YTV so Popular, …In my opinion it’s about time to return YTV to it’s former Glory.

why can’t YTV put really GOOD animes on? now its all bay-blade or what ever its called. and i also agree with Ahilan YTV should put the animes back on like naruto and inuyasha and all the awesome animes there used to be. it would make YTV awesome like it used to back then and not so dull and boring like it is now. i bet millions of people would watch YTV again if the put all the anime shows back on i know a lot of people probably got bored of YTV because of what it is now a channel about real people with some cartoons. so im REALLY hoping they’ll put the animes back on like before. like Hades said, it’s about time to return YTV to it’s former Glory!
