Pokémon The Movie: White – Victini and Zekrom premieres on YTV next Saturday with an all new Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds-less Super Anime Lineup
This is another case of “I already knew this but I’ll hold off on writing a post on it” as schedule wizard Mohji pointed out in our forums, Zap2it listed the YTV premiere of Pokémon The Movie: Black – Victini and Reshiram. I wanted to wait it out until YTV posted their schedule after a a certain debacle. It was a good thing I waited, since it seems Zap2it listed the wrong version of that film to broadcast. They listed the version of the film that was broadcast on Cartoon Network in December, where as YTV.com’s schedule listing has it being the version of the film we were snubbed a theatrical release of. The film premieres this Saturday at 2PM EST, concluding the first broadcast of a retooled Super Anime Lineup.
Super Anime Lineup, also known as SAL, is my unofficial moniker for the Saturday blocking of programming on YTV that sees the broadcast of 22-minute toy commercials like Beyblade: Metal Masters, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, Power Rangers Samurai, Pokemon, and Redakai. Welp, the block’s about to get a whole lot less anime, as this will be the lineup that premieres next Friday:
11:30 AM – Beyblade Metal Masters
12:00 PM – Pokemon Black & White
12:30 PM – Power Rangers Samurai
1:00 PM – Redakai
1:30 PM – Redakai
Yes, YTV has removed Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds from the Saturday lineup, and as of this writing, from the channel entirely. Will this be the end of Yusei and his motorcycle card game gang? Hard to say, YTV’s broadcast of the series has reached episode 85 in the English dub, which leaves them 38 episodes from the conclusion of the English dub (4Kids ended the dub early – I’ll be talking 4Kids in depth later this week). They have 7 more episodes in the third season, so there’s a good chance they’ll burn off the remainder of their order somewhere.
So yeah, Pokemon movie. Here’s a plot synopsis and trailer for the film:
During their travels through the Unova region, Ash and his friends Iris and Cilan arrive in Eindoak Town, built around a castle called the Sword of the Vale. The three Trainers have come to compete in the town’s annual battle competition, and Ash manages to win with some unexpected help from the Mythical Pokémon Victini! It turns out Victini has a special bond with this place…
Long ago, the castle watched over the Kingdom of the Vale, and the partnership between Victini and the king protected its people who lived there. But that kingdom has since vanished into memory, leaving behind powerful relics and ancient Pokémon. Damon, a descendant of the People of the Vale, is trying to restore the lost kingdom with the help of his Reuniclus. His quest has taken him to the far reaches of the barren desert, and he has convinced the Legendary Pokémon Reshiram to join him in the search for truth!
Damon plans to trap Victini and harness its power, and as that plan gets under way, the entire town of Eindoak faces disaster! Can Ash awaken the Legendary Pokémon Zekrom to help him stop Damon and save Victini? The greatest adventure in Pokémon history approaches!
(Yes, I just copied and pasted this from the last Pokemon movie post, deal with it)
UPDATE:
YTV’s schedule dun goofed, and in fact it’s the Pokemon film that Cartoon Network aired – Pokémon The Movie: Black – Victini and Reshiram.

What is the point of removing 5D’s for another episode of Redakai (of all things)?
Looks like it changed back to Pokemon the Movie: Black – Victini and Reshiram according to YTV’s online schedule.
